I love how they went r-tarded in 2004 to combat the Crown 6000 which would "Rule All Street Classes". Instead they opened to door for ridiculous power from large strapped mono's which actually fitted into a CRX, unlike the Crown which barely fitted into a Suburban

I always thought Firgard was using 3x DD 8" Neo's for 06 and was loudest ? Guess I was wrong..

Notice the big drop in StA from 07 to 08 ? Smaller battery requirements and no more strapped pairs really took a toll on power. Sure you could fit a pair of big mono boards to one case, but thats too big to fit in a CRX.

Anyways, those scores are for CRX ONLY. There's louder Panda's out there.

He's also sold the car and hasnt competed for a while now, which is a shame (check the last page)

Why 4x 10"s I believe is two reasons. The enclosure volume in a CRX is limited, and the enclosure to cabin ratio seems to be pretty important in the very loud CRX's. You get a smaller box with a smaller sub, so thats pretty simple maths.
I also believe vent and piston size to cabin ratio is important in CRX.

Which would be why "15"s suck in a CRX" and "Walls suck in a CRX" cos that screws up the cabin to resonator & cabin to enclosure volume ratios. Thats just my theory.

The second reason is to handle the power. 4 motors can dissipate the heat a lot better than two. Less heat, less DC resistance. They call it power compression, but all woofers hit a point where more power doesnt make it louder, just hotter. At that point adding an extra sub lets you do something with that power.

Be nice to have too much power for once

Is it just me or does it look like theres a distinct lack of 0g? I can only see 4 runs coming through the rear quarter panel in the 3rd pic and only a single pos / neg run on the rear battery? I must be missing something

I mean every street car over here (that isnt anywhere near as loud) has atleast 8 runs of positive and negative, with bulky buzzbars on the batteries....

Nah Terry's CRX is like a Transformer, there's more than meets the eye

Look at pix 1 again.. you can see the buzz bar just under the air filter for the positive feeds. Image 3 you can see 4 red/4 black on the left, 2 black/2 blue on the right, but I think there's more cable under the carpets you cant see.. I know there's four Cyclops in that car, but you can only see 2

And let me just say, this is my favourite thread on the entire internet right now.

Also I found some pix of that CRX pre-dynamat which clearly shows a lot more than 4 0g wires

FYI.. aside from my 2x 3510/M3a for Street A, we're also working on a CRX with a widebody kit for Street B as the shops demo car.
